ZUK’s filter-based bicyclone separator, which is protected by a patent (P.216 644), is used to remove dust from flue gas produced mainly by grate boilers fired with hard coal for power generation. This dust remover will reduce your dust emissions to less than 100 mg/m3u at 6% O2 for dry flue gas under reference conditions, i.e. at a temperature of 273.15 K and with a pressure of 101.3 kPa.

How does a filter-based bicyclone separator work?

To ensure efficient operation of the unit, some of the gas from a set of bicyclone separators is circulated through an additional bag filter module. A flue gas circulation fan plays a major role in this process.

The key characteristics of our filter-based bicyclone separators are:

  • dust content in the inlet gas: 5.0 g/m3,

  • dust content in the outlet gas: below 100 mg/m3 at 6% oxygen content in the waste gas,

  • maximum working temperature: +260°C.

High-efficiency cyclone separators help reduce the size of the filtration area, which allows you to keep operating costs relatively low.

What are the advantages of a filter-based bicyclone separator?

  • It is a solid and durable structure.

  • The bag filter module can be cut off (stopped), leaving the cyclones only in operation when the boiler is working at its full capacity:

    • serwisowania modułu filtra workowego
    • when maintenance of the bag filter module is needed,

when the filter bags and/or the compressed air regeneration system has (have) failed,
  • for operation with the bag filter module deactivated,
    • to activate or deactivate the combustion source (when the acid dew point temperature for flue gas is exceeded).

  • It is highly efficient.
